  This was our first stay on Block Island and first stay at Champlin's. We came in on a 40ft motoryacht to stay from Wednesday to this Past Sunday (8/13/17). One thing I noticed is that Champlin's is REALLY BUSY. I have been to many marinas however none as busy as this. Its not a huge marina but they do make the most of it and yes it can get a little cramped. However those dock hands work their butts off and do a great job. Never once did I feel underserviced, especially when you take into account how many boats are there, leaving or coming in on a daily basis. On a regular basis you can see a guy walking the dock, talking in a boat while running down to receive it with his crew. That guy ran that operation like a pro. The marina itself is nice and has good amenities. From a fuel dock, complete with bar, restaurant, snack bar, bakery, pool and even laundry service. Also on the property is a rental agency that rents scooters, bikes and Jeeps. I opted for a Jeep but with the horrible parking in Old Harbor, I think maybe next time it will be a couple scooters. Overall it made for a great first experience, I couldn't ask for more out of this crew.
